Goal 1

Description

 Justification

First,  I want to develop myself in classroom language because both my MST and MCT noticed that I should structure my sentences and questions correct.

Second,  I want to help my students to understand my language quickly and follow my directions easily without taking long time, which helps me also in the classroom management.

Third,  teacher language  help the students to build the foundation of literacy (Fisher, Frey, & Rothenberg, 2008). Fourth, It will make them explore and learn new words automatically through context talk .

Finally,  this goal will  help me to say full correct sentences and questions without mistakes. So it will support the students to learn the correct language with correct grammar and improve them in English.

Action

I will prepare questions before the lesson by writing them in the lesson plan and in  some cards which help me to say it correctly during the lesson.

I will bring or create visual things to support my questions

I will give the students time to think before they move or answer.

If they don’t understand I will ask the Arabic teacher to explain what I said.

I will give time to discuss to gather in pairs

Evidence 1

Description:

This example  shows the questions planned for circle time in a lesson about animals.  It includes both open and closed questions using the various levels of Bloom's Taxonomy. 

Effects on learning :

This was the first lesson that I co-planned the questions with my MST.  When I planned by myself in the past, I found that I didn't plan questions for all the levels in Bloom's Taxonomy.  I learned how to use questioning to take the students step-by-step.  This was  the practical application of Vygotsky's Zone of Proximal Development 1978 (McLeod, 2012).  By using the full range of questions from remembering to evaluating, even the low level students were able to answer.

In addition,  lesson plan was help me to manage my Ideas before the lesson. As well, it helped me  to expect what the students will answer before I asked them. 

Evidence 2

Description:

This picture shows the paper of the questions that I used it during my lesson to remind me the questions and help me to say the question and grammar correctly. This  strategy was worked very well and help me to develop. It includes the same questions that I wrote it in the lesson plan. 

Effects on learning :

This paper helped me to develop my grammar and develop my self confides especially when I read the questions from the paper. As well, it helps me to guide the students step by step and make the opening easier. It engaged the students , helped them to think and expect, as well helped them to solve the problems for example, in one of my lessons I read story about boy and this boy was lost, I asked the students can you help the boy to find his home? the students give me many ideas. Furthermore, it helped the students to catch the correct grammar.

This picture presents the MCT and MST comments which is about my different lessons and they write about my using the paper when I asked the questions and how I used different types of the questions to engaged the students during the circle time

Effects on learning :

These comments was help me to continue developing in questioning and keep going. Also, it motivated me to use more strategies which help me to improve.

This picture from my reflection after MCT observation. I used different questions in my lesson and I think this is good so I wrote it in strengths area.

This remind me to use blooms taxonomy always.
