Goal 3
Description
Justification
First, I want to develop my self in transition management which help me to reduce behavior problems.
Second, I want to help the students to learn the organization and independent learning through letting them to find their centers by themselves, clean up and move to the other activity in the limited time.
Third, the transition, “transition times may lead to more time for children to become engaged in learning activities” (Child Care and Head Start Bureaus, 2008)
Fourth, make all students finish at the same time, rather than make some of them wait until the others finish. (e.g. wait until everyone has finished snack, wait for buses)
Finally, helps me with time management and to set my instructions.

Action

I will plan all the transitions in the daily schedule and put limited time for each transition include ( what the children should do in this transition).

I will model to them how they transition between centers. (ex. walk slowly)

I will give them different signs to help them to know that the transition time is start or finish such as, (rang a bell, clap, sing a song)

I will prepare different things to help the students knowing their centers. For example ( put their pictures in the centers and let them find their pictures and sit, give them colorful cards and find their colors in the centers, put their pictures on the board and the name of the center that they should work at with the symbol)

After the transition, I will give the students who did well positive reinforcement to encourage other students.
5 minutes after activities, between lessons, before and after the break time.

I need support from my MST to expect what the students will do and the time that they will take in each transition.
Observe other teachers.

Evidence 1
Description:
This example of my lesson plan for the strategies that I used it for the transitions .I used two transitions, the first one is from circle time to the centers. While, the other one is from centers to the circle time .
Effective on learning:
This helped me to plan the lesson and identify the transition time and the strategies.
Evidence 2
Description:
The first example is the choice chart that I used it to transition from the circle to the centers. The way for using this chart is : every day in the morning the students will use their centers and put their pictures. After the circle time the teacher will ask from each student to find his picture on the choice board and go to their center. The second example is bell. the bell helped me to remind the children that the time is finished or the time is started. This strategy worked to move from centers to the carpet. It help the students to know that they should clean up then back to the carpet.
Effective on learning:
This was helped me in time management and this by making the transition as a routine so the students will know the centers from the choice board and find their place in short time. As well, after the centers when I rain the bell the students start to clean up in five minute and back to their sets in the carpet and this by repetition . In addition, this will help the students to learn how to depend on their self. Also, teach them the organization.

Effects on learning :
These comments was help me to continue developing in questioning and keep going. Also, it motivated me to use more strategies which help me to improve.
