Implementing and Managing Learning

In this section I will show some strategies that I used it in the classroom , demonstrate how I apply it  and the positive results that I will undoubtedly use in my teaching career.

During my teaching practice, I applied a wide range of appropriate strategies to motivates students and maintains an effective classroom presence. For example,

 Time management strategies:

for time management strategies I used a reminder from my phone to help me to manage the time because I faced some problems some times especially in the center time so this was help me to manage my time.

 Behavior management strategies:

For behavior management I used different charts like traffic light chart a brag tags. As well, I focused on the positive reinforcement which motivate the students and encourage them to do the best.. According Skinner  “positive reinforcement strengthens a behavior by providing a consequence an individual finds rewarding” (McLeod, Skinner - Operant Conditioning, 2015). So, this will build their confident and improve their performance.

Transition strategies:

This one of my goals in professional development plan, for this strategy I used the songs, bell and choice board

Cooperative learning strategy:

For this strategy I did some whole class activities like building a zoo. As well, I divided the students to five groups and make a competitions between them. Furthermore, I did peers activities in the circle time. "Vygotsky's theories also feed into current interest in collaborative learning, suggesting that group members should have different levels of ability so more advanced peers can help less advanced members operate within their zone of proximal development" (McLeod, 2012). So, this help the students to learn from each other.

Throughout my teaching practice experiences, I realized that implementing and managing learning were interconnected.  Without the effectiveness of one, the other would suffer.  As I planned and implemented my activities, I ensured that all the activities were engaging, and that all the resources needed were available to the students.  This minimized the disruptions in my class and ensured that I could focus on monitoring the learning in the class.

This was helped me to decrease problems' number, efficient use of time, create a positive learning environment and building capability.
